Our Improver lessons are designed for swimmers who are able to travel in water unassisted by an adult but with the use of buoyancy aids. Swimmers can progress from our Beginner lessons into our Improver lessons.
The aim of these lessons is to teach swimmers to swim without the use of buoyancy aids. Swimmers will gradually work towards achieving 5, 10 & 15meter distances without buoyancy aids. Swimmers will continue to develop their core aquatic skills such as entering the pool in different ways, treading water and retrieving objects from the bottom of the pool to name a few. Swimmers will focus on one of the four main swimming strokes in each lesson (front crawl, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly).
These lessons have a maximum of 6 swimmers to 1 teacher, with the teacher located in the water.
Swimmers work towards achieving their Octopus 1-3, Goldfish 1-3 and 5, 10 & 15meter badges
